When you start using Ballast, we create a unique ID for your device to provide access to our services. This allows you to use the app without needing to create an account or share personal information. Later, if you choose to, you can create a full account without losing any of your data.

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic information (email address and name) to create your account. This process is governed by the respective privacy policies of Apple and Google during the sign-in process. We use a unique identifier from these services to authenticate you securely, and we do not share your Ballast data back to these providers.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your data is only used to provide and improve our services.
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you through the app. Minor updates will be reflected here with the "Last Updated" date.
