You can optionally share anonymous prediction data to help improve the app. We never sell your personal information and you can opt out of anonymous data collection in settings at any time.
Can I use Ballast to actually trade stocks?
No, Ballast is not a trading platform. It's a decision support tool to help you make more rational investment choices. You'll need to execute trades through your regular brokerage account. Ballast helps you prepare for those decisions with structured frameworks and prediction tracking.
Does Ballast provide investment advice?
Ballast does not provide investment advice or recommendations. It's a tool to help you document your own strategy and make decisions according to your personal investment approach. The app helps you track your predictions and emotional state, but all investment decisions are entirely your own.
How do I export my data from Ballast?
Pro users can export their notes, predictions, and other data in standard formats like CSV or PDF. This allows you to back up your investment journal or analyze your decision-making patterns outside the app. The export feature is available in the Settings screen.
Is my data backed up?
Free users' data is stored locally on their device. We recommend regular backups of your device. Pro users benefit from automatic cloud backup of their investment data, ensuring it's safe even if your device is lost or damaged.
